Why? Just... WHY?

My procrastination seminar is NEXT week.

I am up at 7.30 in the morning for NO GOOD REASON.

Want to know about the procrastination seminar? Well, I'm going to tell you anyway. I am going to a seminar to help me stop procrastinating. I put of work to the point of it being a superpower. It's something quite special to behold. "Don't worry lady who is dangling from the edge of a building whilst vultures are pecking at the last few feeble fingers holding on to the ledge, I'll save you! But first I'll just check my e-mail..."

Anyway, I was thrilled to find I had a place on this course! An end to procrastination! Or at least some reasoning behind why I do it. And then, suddenly a strange thing happened. My mental process went a bit like this:

"I'm going to stop procrastinating after that. I'll be ruthless and efficient like a machine. Oh well, that means I can procrastinate all I want for now! In fact, I might miss procrastination after the seminar, what with me being incapable of it then. I better get as much in as possible now."

NOTHING has gotten done since that moment.

Actually, let me rephrase that. Nothing WORTHWHILE has gotten done since that moment. So far I have:

Trounced 3 people at internet reversi.
Been trounced by about 30 people at internet reversi.
Tidied my room.
Dirtied my room.
Scolded myself for undoing all my hard work in tidying my room, but not done anything about it.
Stared at the pictures of me taken on Saturday. If you saw them, you'd understand.
Uploaded songs onto my computer.
Downloaded songs onto my MP3 player.
Decided they were not the right songs for creating a positive atmosphere and created a new playlist of ones that were.
Downloaded THOSE songs onto my MP3 player.
Gone out for cheese.
Shaved my beard into many hilarious shapes (a favourite passtime of mine)
Bought much needed CDs off the internet.
Bought an Iron Man action figure for my friend's birthday.
Made my bed and once again tidied my room.
Played with Iron Man action figure bought for my friend's birthday.
Trawled Wikipedia*
Written a blog about how I'm procrastinating.

As you can see, it's a pretty dire state of affairs. However work starts... now.

*Wikipedia is the most powerful tool in any procrastinators utility belt. For goodness sake, I looked up procratination on wikipedia. It should say at the end in big bold letters "What the hell do you think you're doing RIGHT NOW?"

Ok, work starts now.
